AFFORDABLE HOMES : THE C1 HOUSE & C1 COMPACT

Clyde Homes continues to innovate and during 2017 we are developing several new products for the affordable housing sector.

Using our experience and skills in the building of holiday lodges we have created the C1 HOUSE.

The C1 HOUSE is an adaptable 40’ x 14’ 1 bed house with a 2 bed option. Built to meet current Building Regulations this home is capable of being placed on a permanent foundation as a truly turnkey offsite build. Exterior finishes can be specified to suit local requirements and there are a range of options including timber, render and brick.

In addition, the C1 will fully comply with the requirements of the Caravan Act due to its size and ability to be transported. Fully complying with the requirements of BS3632 (the British Standard for Residential Park homes), your home can be installed extremely cost effectively in remote locations without the requirement for building warrant.

In addition to the C1 HOUSE we also offer a smaller version, the C1 COMPACT.

This 32’ x 12’ 1 bed is exceptional value for money. Offering all the same features as the larger C1 HOUSE, the COMPACT is simply a scaled down version with identical high quality finishes and technical standard compliance.

AFFORDABLE HOMES : TRADITIONAL BUILD OFF SITE

In conjunction with the Scottish Construction Innovation Centre, Clyde Homes is progressing a prototype Affordable Home. Based on standard timber frame construction principles, this two or three bedroom 2 storey home is designed to replicate a traditional home but with far superior insulation and low running costs. Again using our skills and knowledge from modular and offsite construction we are able to quickly deliver a functional turnkey product to market in minimum timeframe.
